Not more than 2 days ago I made the post here calling Erin Lucas from MTV’s The City “the only real girl these days, in Reality TV, or in New York for that matter”.

Well I guess the joke is on ME!

My friend J (who managed to recently sell me a condo in manhattan while the whole world goes into recession) was kind enough to send me a link to an article on the site Curbed, which not only outed “hipster downtown chick” Erin as the daughter of AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams, but her apartment on the show is NOT where MTV claim it to be, it’s actually a million-dollar condo that daddy bought for her.

Well I guess that answers the question what exactly does Erin do. I mean does anyone ever thought about why Erin doesn’t really have a job on the show?? This explains it.

Another one bites the dust. Hearst announces it is shutting down its teen girl magazine CosmoGirl today, with December as its very last issue. They will be consolidating their teen magazine properties under Seventeen, which is currently the largest teen magazine, partially due to most of the other ones are out of business, such as YM, Teen People, Elle Girl, etc.

This comes as no suprise to me, as I’ve been champion the rise of online content for teens over print magazines ever since 1999! And with the help of awful Editor-In-Chiefs like Christina Kelly (who is literally the kiss of death for teen publications, 3 magazines have folded under her direction), and Atoosa Rubenstein (7 editors left under her first 2 month taking over Seventeen), it seems that online magazine will ultimately triumph over print magazine.

Although this is a big blow for Hearst, but they probably have the best online strategies for their teen group out of all traditional publishers like Conde Nast or any other competitors, they’ve been buying up key teen properties, and the new Editor-In-Chief of Seventeen Ann Shoket has impressive experience in online media. In fact, her and I will be speaking at the same teen media conference YPulse in November.

Who will fall next? Only time will tell. The future is bright and green for Kiwibox.com.

It’s Noami Campbell’s birthday and she’ll cry if she wants to! And that is exactly what happened last night as she celebrated her 38th birthday in Cannes.

According to TMZ, the model was on Diddy’s yacht with Chris Rocancourt, con man and convicted felon. After getting into an argument with Diddy, he got fed up and kicked the birthday girl right off the yacht, tears and all!

Campbell is having a bad run, after yelling racial slurs at cops, being charged with attacking a policeman at Heathrow airport, and throwing a temper tantrum over some lost luggage.

Perhaps she should not only find some new friends but start living by the golden rule “Treat others how you expect to be treated.” Maybe then she would stop getting kicked off yacht’s on her own birthday.

Shania Twain’s split with her husband of 14 years, music producer Robert Lange is heartbreaking enough as is. According to People magazine however, another woman may have driven the couple apart. Sources say that Marie-Anne Thiebaud, Twain’s friend, secretary and house manager of the couple’s property in Switzerland is to blame for the split, as she was allegedly having an affair with Lange.

Lange is denying that a relationship with Thiébaud ever happened and blames the separation to growing apart. I don’t know many people who would openly admit to having an affair, denying is usually the road taken until caught. I also don’t know many people who would cheat on Shania Twain. What an awful situation…poor Shania!

Mark Ronson, producer buddy of Amy Winehouse is fed up with the singer’s irrational behavior. According to UK newspaper, The Sun, the two were in the process of making the theme song for the new 007 movie, Quantum of Solace, which hits theaters this fall.

Ronson decided that due to Wino’s latest issues of hubby Blake’s unfortunate incarceration, drug use and unsafe behavior towards herself and others that the star is in no shape to sing. Running around in your underwear is not normal behavior? Strange.

Friends of Wino fear that this just may be the straw that breaks the camels back. Ronson and Wino have been good friends for a long time and with a decision like this, Winehouse may become even more unstable. If that’s possible.

Don’t you hate when you have that one really bad picture that just keeps popping up everywhere? Lindsay Lohan can relate. That poor girl’s mug shot has been splashed over countless internet sites worldwide and now appears in an ad from the liquor industry put in USA TODAY magazine. The ad is for ignition interlocks with a picture of Lohan’s big ol’ mug right under it saying they are a good idea for her, but not a good idea for us. The “us” are regular people casually (and I use that term loosely) drinking.
Lindsay is fighting back though. Her lawyer has already issued a statement to TMZ saying that the ad suggests drinking and driving is an American tradition we should protect and by not stating that the ad is paid for by the liquor industry, is to put it bluntly, shady. Lohan is also looking to see if she can sue for her image being used for commercial gain without consent.

I am very against drunk driving, as we all should be, and in no way do I condone what Lindsay Lohan does behind the wheel but good for her for taking a stand! This may be one battle she can win.

Is it just me or am I the only person who didn’t even realize Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were dating let alone getting hitched? I feel like I blinked my eyes and this huge rock appeared on her finger. According to Latina magazine the couple wed in Carey’s newly purchased home in Eleuthera, The Bahamas yesterday after only dating for two months.

Thankfully, rumors that Carey’s rock was a sloppy second ring from Cannon’s previous fianceé, Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks are false according to People magazine. No one wants to wear someone else’s engagement ring, talk about bad karma! The wedding was so impulsive, the two did not have time to sign a pre-nup. Who knows what problems that may cause in the future but for now I suppose congrats are in order for the newlyweds!

After 45 days in rehab, Lindsay Lohan left the facility this past Friday only to be faced with even more problems. Rumors have been spreading that naked pictures her ex Calum Best took of her have been stolen by a computer hacker and may turn up on the Internet very soon. Lohan apparently found a file from the hacker on the desktop of her computer telling her that he got the pictures Cal took of her naked. Lindsay’s rep claims to know nothing about the situation but says her lawyers have been contacted. Looks like Lohan can’t ever get away from trouble. Why would she let Calum take naked pictures of her in the first place? Everyone knows nothing about Lindsay’s life ever stays private and it’s only a matter of time before her antics become public. Since everyone has already seen Lohan’s underwear-free crotch, the fully naked shots seem to be the appropriate next step. It looks like even when she’s sober she’s never going to learn!
