I’m rarely impressed by celebrities, but the showing at the William Rast show at New York Fashion Week was ridiculous!  (It just so happens that the owner of the line is Justin Timberlake…)  From Anna Wintour to JC Chasez and Paris Hilton.  We sat behind Jessica Biel and rubbed elbows with Erin Lucas and Samanatha from MTV’s The City ( btw I totally take back what I said about Erin before, she’s a total sweetheart in person and so beautiful! )

After the show we even ended up sitting next to Kelly Pickler and Kathrine McPhee at dinner at Koi at the Bryant Park Hotel down the block! Talk about celebrity overload!  Kelly had a hot pair of ruby red sandels on and apparently just got a new tattoo on the inside of her left arm, and Katherine keeps getting some scandolous/drama text messages on her iPhone the whole dinner…

lol too many new BFFs to keep track of, I might need to learn a thing or two from Paris :-p

Olivia Palermo is slowing becoming my favorite character on MTV’s The City.

With Whitney Port becoming increasingly whiny and Erin Lucas becoming increasingly boy-crazy, at least Olivia stays true to her snotty “uptown” self.

Tonight’s episode is all about Popdish fave Kelly Cutrone being bitchy about some model being too skinny, but Olivia stole the best line in the show all night…

“You kidding? (chuckles) You think we have like… Shamu coming down the runway? No! hehe.”

At least she doesn’t try to be someone else while they turn on the camera like the rest of the cast.

My new favorite song “Body On Me” by Ashanti ft. Nelly and Akon (and of course I discovered it during the premiere episode of The City, lol)

I’m not sure if I like the new “pop-up-video” style comment and clickable bubbles over videos on YouTube, I’m going to have to get use to it.

Whitney Port, perhaps the most normal and intelligent cast member from MTV’s The Hills finally gets her own show!  At the prompt of People’s Revolution’s Kelly Cutrone (I’m obsessed with her ever since we got seated in first class together on our way to LA Fashion week), Whitney got a job with Diane Von Furstenberg (apparently it’s a fake job according to Page Six and New York Mag). In any case, she up’ed and moved to New York city and now has her own show and is being compared to Carrie Bradshaw of HBO’s Sex and the City!

And the sad thing is, I totally missed the two-hour series premiere last night! But from what I’ve read about it so far, it’s sure to be a guilty pleasure and MTV will no-doubt rerun the premiere episodes over and over again.

Oh, did I mention I ran into Whitney shopping at the Bergdorf Goodman sale the weekend before Christmas?  Sadly I was paying for some hot Dolce and Gabbana shoes and couldn’t leave the line to stalk her… lol

Disney should do what the NFL does, fine their players whenever they do something stupid. All their little pop stars seem to all have problems with naked pictures. First Vanessa Hudgens, then Miley Cyrus, now one of the Cheetah Girls Adrienne Bailon (Does anyone remember her from the early 2000’s group 3LW? lol I totally hung out with them at their rehearsal studio yeeeaars ago). So poor Adrienne lost her laptop at JFK airport, then paid some man $1000 to return it, only to find out the scumbag has sold her almost-nude pictures to several publications…

Another one bites the dust. Hearst announces it is shutting down its teen girl magazine CosmoGirl today, with December as its very last issue. They will be consolidating their teen magazine properties under Seventeen, which is currently the largest teen magazine, partially due to most of the other ones are out of business, such as YM, Teen People, Elle Girl, etc.

This comes as no suprise to me, as I’ve been champion the rise of online content for teens over print magazines ever since 1999! And with the help of awful Editor-In-Chiefs like Christina Kelly (who is literally the kiss of death for teen publications, 3 magazines have folded under her direction), and Atoosa Rubenstein (7 editors left under her first 2 month taking over Seventeen), it seems that online magazine will ultimately triumph over print magazine.

Although this is a big blow for Hearst, but they probably have the best online strategies for their teen group out of all traditional publishers like Conde Nast or any other competitors, they’ve been buying up key teen properties, and the new Editor-In-Chief of Seventeen Ann Shoket has impressive experience in online media. In fact, her and I will be speaking at the same teen media conference YPulse in November.

Who will fall next? Only time will tell. The future is bright and green for Kiwibox.com.

It’s Noami Campbell’s birthday and she’ll cry if she wants to! And that is exactly what happened last night as she celebrated her 38th birthday in Cannes.

According to TMZ, the model was on Diddy’s yacht with Chris Rocancourt, con man and convicted felon. After getting into an argument with Diddy, he got fed up and kicked the birthday girl right off the yacht, tears and all!

Campbell is having a bad run, after yelling racial slurs at cops, being charged with attacking a policeman at Heathrow airport, and throwing a temper tantrum over some lost luggage.

Perhaps she should not only find some new friends but start living by the golden rule “Treat others how you expect to be treated.” Maybe then she would stop getting kicked off yacht’s on her own birthday.

The girl has finally lost it!! Crazy Britney Spears pulled some serious stunt and SHAVED HER HAIR OFF!!  I mean ALL OF IT!!  We knew the girl has problems.  Ever since she broke it off with K-Fed, she’s been showcasing a series of bizzare behaviors, from (almost intentionally) flashing her private parts, to vomitting, to practically having a pharmacy in her purse.  This is the most shocking yet!

Apparently Britney went to a salon in California yesterday and ask all of her hair to be cut off. The salon refused to do it and tried to reason with her, at which point, Britney just grabbed some electric clippers and went to the back of the shop and began cutting her own hair off.

Why did she do it?  According to some rumors, Britney said she’s tired of people thinking she’s pretty and coming up to touch her hair… hmm…  But I have a better explanation…

About 2 weeks ago I made a post here on PopDish (click here to see the full story) after running into Britney the night before at the club Marquee in New York, and in that post, I commented “She had aweful looking black curly hair that looks like she spent 2 minutes curling” - I mean isn’t obvious?! Britney read my comment and decided to cut her hair off!!

As bad as this sounds, K-Fed is looking more and more like the better choice to get custody  of their kids at this point…

Nice innocent girl from the south right? Tara Conner from small town of Russel Springs, Kentucky was crowned Miss USA back in April 2006. Since then, 20 years old Tara has moved into an apartment at Trump Place in New York, along with Miss Teen USA Katie Blair and Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera.

But Tara has been a bad girl…

The Daily News reports that Tara has been a party animal in the New York scene - testing positive for cocaine, lustily kissing Miss Teen USA in public and sneaking men into their Trump Place apartment!! Naughty Naughty Tara…

She has been linked to Damien Fahey of MTV (the white boy VJ who apparently has a BIG uh… you know, according to one of my girls that knows him WELL lol), Jay Hernandez from my favorite show Six Degrees, Constantine Maroulis from “American Idol“, 2 of Stereo’s Owners (lol there’s only 3 total), and quite a few club promoters… I mean it sounds like she hooked up with EVERYBODY I know, lol! How come I never remember seeing her at the clubs, since it sounds like she’s at my favorite club Stereo all the time! (Oh yea, probably because NOBODY really cared who Miss USA is each year and I could’ve made out with her drunk and not realize who she was! haha)

But now they do! The Donald was pissed! He called a press conference earlier today to announce the fate of poor little out of control Tara, and many people expected him to utter his famous phrase “You are Fired!”

But brilliantly, Donald Trump has managed to make lemonade out of lemon, and turned this incident into a free million dollar publicity opportunity! He said that originally he was planning on dethroning her, but after speaking with her prior to the press conference, he had a change of heart. He believes Tara has a good heart, and he’s giving her “a second chance”. Wow!! During the live TV coverage, Tara looks absolutely shocked, and then she started to break into tears. Even Tara herself didn’t expect such turn of events. She agreed to enter rehab and swears she will turn herself around.

Brilliant! Only Donald Trump can pull this off!

Well Tara, good luck! We’ll for sure party together at Stereo after you pass on the title next April!
