Bush Vetos War Funding Bill in 3 hours – Not Hot

So finally the democrats got together and passed a War Funding Bill, which allocates $124 billion to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but also sets a withdrawl date for American troops, starting as early as July 1 and no later than Oct 1, with the goal of removing all combat troops by March 31 of next year.
Earlier this afternoon, the Senate majority leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) signed the bill and sent it over to President Bush, who in turn vetoed it in all about 3 hours’ time.
Sad…
