My friend Josh got hooked up with passes to the premiere of Sony/Columbia’s Spider-Man 3. Of course I jumped at the chance to go, even though it is in QUEENS! (Peter Parker is from Queens lol)

We trekked over on the R train, along with what seems like a migration of New York entertainment industry folks. I mean normally we would never be caught dead leaving the island of Manhattan for anything! lol

When we got there it was hectic. I mean there were spectators, paparazzi, plus what seems like a thousand guests all having the same “do you know who I am?” attitude. We were happy to roll through red-carpet-VIP-style, pretending we were real celebrities as MTV’s Gideon Yago and others waited in line.

Then as we were walking in, the security asked us to check in our CELLPHONE and CAMERA!! Bummer, no bootlegging movie clips using my camera phone. Nor could I take a picture with Tobey and the rest of the cast as they walked around the hall mingling with the guests. But they did offer us free drinks and popcorn

The movie was intense. Two and half hours long. It ties in all the story lines and loose ends from the previous two installments, while introducing 2 new villans as well as like 3 different love triangles… wheew!

It’s a little cheesy at times, and we learned that Spider-Man loves America (you’ll understand what I mean towards the end right before he jumps into battle with the Sand-Man and the Venom). Go see the movie on Friday when it comes out! It’ll be a fun time as long as you don’t try to judge it like at the Oscars.

Hummer has a new smaller size SUV the H3 made for navigating city roads and tight street parking spaces.  But who needs an H3 when you can ride in an H8??

lol so there are these “party bikes” in Times Square. They are circular, up to 8 people can sit and peddle together - the tourists love it!

While I would never be caught dead in one of these, it’s a completely different matter after a few pitchers of margaritas from our favorite little Mexican hangout Viva Pancho on 44th and 7th Ave.  All of a sudden we thought it would be the greatest idea to ride one of these ALL THE WAY to 29th street and 11th ave, where we were going to hit up the club Stereo, in style as you can see.

It was quite a work out, and I have to say it was definitely a hot idea for the first 2 minutes, lol.

Will Farrell is on top of the world, with his new movie Blades of Glory heating up the box office and all. You would think this guy has not a worry in the world… until you watch this video clip of his confrontation with his landlord…

So after a very controversial year at the View, Rosie O’Donnell has announced that she will be leaving the show in June, supposedly because her and ABC couldn’t reach an agreement on her contract extension. She negotiated for another year while ABC wanted a three-year extension. Plus inside source has said that “there had also been a wide difference between the salary she was seeking and what the network was willing to pay.”

It seems for now The Donald has won the battle. Back in December, Rosie and Trump had a very publicized feud (see the full chronology in my previous post). The View’s executive producer Barbara Walters has said on the program earlier today that having Rosie on the show for the last year has been “exciting, fun-filled, and provocative.”

So did Rosie get fired or did she quit? Who cares?! But it’s kinda sad that she use to be so cool and funny on her own show - before she came out. Now she just seems like an angry lesbian that hates everyone and attacks everyone on the show. Not Hot.

One of my favorite door person in all of New York clubs has to be Tim from Stereo. A club door guy’s job is to manage the line, and pick the hottest and most well-connected people to let in the club. You have to know who’s who, and you HAVE to be an ass to everyone else.

Tim has to be one of MY personal favorite. He runs the door at the club Stereo for all my parties. This is the guy that made my business partner Mike pay to get in MY birthday party, refuse to let in my best gay friend Dan because he was wearing a Bluetooth earpiece, or flat out says to me “the fat one is not getting in” in front of three of her super-model-esq friends. But you gotta love him. He’s good at what he does.

I just saw this video from the club Butter last night, with Diddy pulling up in an Escalade, and Tim looking intense, pretending to do his job. lol Click on the image below to play the video. The video itself is a little boring, and all of you may not care, but now at least you know his name and it’s the first step on shmoozing if you plan on getting into one of the clubs he works at.

Motorola finally brought the new slider phone Rizr to the US market. We are always the last to get the latest cool phones it seems. While most of the world are standardizing on GSM, providers here are still fighting amongst more than 3 formats of cellular service.

They’ve taken out a huge ad covering an entire side of a building on the corner of 34th street and 8th Ave. Using the phone camera on my Moto Rizr phone, I’ve taken a series of 6 pictures over the course of a week showing how the painting came along. It’s really an amazing procedure seeing the little workers hanging from the side of the building painting.

The Rizr is basically a cooler slider version of the Moto Krzr phone. It reads MP3 music files, so you can use it as an MP3 player. And from the looks of the ad, Motorola is pushing it as an “imaging phone“, since it comes with a 2 Mega Pixel camera (really high-res for a camera phone) with a constant output light for dark places (like all the club pics I’ve been taking). The quality is not bad (not the greatest either). But since it can take a 2GB MicroSD memory card, it’s super useful for taking pictures and even plenty of videos when you are not carrying a regular camera or camcorder on you.

It’s available exclusively from T-Mobile right now. I’ve had mine since January when I bought an “unlocked” one to use on my trip to China (yes it’s a quad-band GSM world phone). I highly recommed it. Of course, if enough people start to carry it, I might need to switch and buy something even hotter and newer.

I took Amy and Jessie on my favorite yacht in all of New York harbor, the Shearwater. It’s an 88-foot scooner sail boat built in the 20’s, with its beautiful original mahogany woodwork intact. My friend Tom owns it, and I use to volunteer sail it for him when he takes it out for harbor tours and such.

As we sailed and sipped on Champagne and wine, my friend Jasmine (she handles publicity for the boat) gets a call from Hamptons magazine confirming that they’ll be doing a 12 page spread or something of the Shearwater. Craziness! I’m so happy for Tom and Jasmine. The boat is beautiful - you can see some of the pics I took from the sail yesterday. Hey, it may not be Hamptons magazine, but not bad for a Canon Powershot lol.

Sanjaya Malakar has to be one of the most odd phenomenon on Fox’s hot show American Idol. He’s not talented (he knows it himself), in fact, he’s known for how UNTALENTED he is. Yet for some odd reason he has had crazy staying power week after week. America keeps voting for him. Howard Stern even has a campaign trying to get everyone to vote for him just so Howard can prove what a joke the show really is.

It all came to a crashing end last night, as Sanjaya got vote off. Good riddance! He’s been NOT HOT for so long, he’s not even lukewarm anymore (as P Diddy would put it if he were to be asked on the topic lol)

Drew Carey has a new pilot for CBS.  It’s a Game Show called “The Power of Ten“.  It’s a little bit like Who Wants to be a Millionaire and a little bit like Deal or No Deal.  In fact it’s produced by the same executive producer for Millionaire and Who’s Line.

We were invited to the taping for the pilot episodes earlier today.  Contestants compete against each other on a variety of survey questions ranging from “What percentage of people think Global Warming is not real?” to “What percentage of people doesn’t wear underwear?”  The contestants have to correctly estimate how the American public answer in the survey, locking in a “percentage”.  And in the final rounds, after eliminating the opponent, Drew Carey asks the finalist a series of 5 questions, which ranges in value of $1000 up to $10 million if you can correctly guess what the American public says in the survey!!

It’s a really good concept, and Drew is a lot of fun.  I keep sticking my head in the camera shots since I was sitting right behind him haha. Hope it airs and we can all see how stupid I look! lol

Just came back from the New York Auto Show, saw the perfect car for the summer - The new BMW 335i Convertible.  It’s the first year BMW came out with a convertible for the 3-series, and it’s a HARD TOP!!  Just like the famous Mercedes SLK hard-top convertibles!  The Z-series convertibles are hot roadsters, but only seats 2, which makes it the perfect 2nd car, not quite perfect if you have to drive you and your girl to the Hamptons house (cuz you KNOW she’s gonna pack A LOT of luggage even if it’s just the weekend lol).

I’m in love with the car.  The 335 starts for around $48,000, and the 328 starts for around $43,000.  The catch - there’s no available 335’s in the New York area!!  Each dealership only gets very very limited shipment since it’s the first model year.  There are two 328’s available, but that’s it!  For all of New York!!  But if I custom order mine today, it will be in the May production schedule, and be shipped to me in June.

How hot would it be to cruise up to Cain or Pink Elephant in the Hamptons this summer in one of these?  Very very tempting… hmm
