Emmitt Smiths probably THE best running back in the history of football, holding the record for all time rushing. No. 22 for the Dallas Cowboys in the 90s during the Cowboys dynasty where 5 Super Bowls were won together with QB Troy Aikman. Ahh those were the years where I was a Cowboys fan before my college years in Pittsburgh turned me Black and Gold (it’s unavoidable, anyone who ever lived in Pittsburgh becomes a Steelers fan eventually.)

Emmit has been in the news again – this time not for his ability on the gridiron, but for his skills on the dance floor! In the latest season of Dancing with the Stars on ABC, Emmitt and his professional dance partner Cheryl Burke blew through the competition wooing judges the whole way. Last night was the finals, Emmitt went head to head against Mario Lopez (a.k.a. AC Slater from Saved By the Bell). Both teams delivered near flawless performances, and the judges’ decisions were a TIE! Then it was up to America to send in their votes, and I can’t believe it! Emmitt wins!! Woohoo!! Despite Super Mario’s dimples and break-dancing moves, the rest of America voted for the underdog!! I mean Mario definitely had some dance training or just the good Latin gene before entering the contest so it would be like me entering “Survivor: Math Island”, lol it just wouldn’t been fair even if Mario won. But he didn’t, and Emmitt did – HOTT!

Every week on Tuesday I try to talk about some new music or music related topics, since Tuesday is traditionally when all the record label release new records. One of BMG’s Vice Presidents actually has told me the reason they do it on Tuesdays is everyone tried to do it on Mondays before, but nobody in the music business can get their act together to get everything ready to go by Monday. lol a little interesting but useless tidbit…

Snoop Dogg is putting out a new album “The Blue Carpet Treatment“. It’s his 8th album actually. We hosted one of his album release parties in New York at the club Stereo. Lil Jon was there, so did The Game and a bunch other rappers and Hip Hop artists and all their entourages that all looks the same lol.

Anyway, on the new album there’s a song with R Kelly called “That’s That“, it’s hot! Has anyone seen the music video? And more importantly, has anyone seen HOODIE he’s wearing in the music video for “That’s That” with R Kelly?? It is SOOO HOT!! It looks like a Steelers hoodie, but it looks like it says the letters A C T next to the Steelers stars logo (anybody knows what clothing label is that? I have no idea). And the hood itself is embroidered with these tattoo looking designs, it’s sooo hot! I MUST HAVE IT!! AHHH!! Where can I buy it? Watch the video on YouTube and help me find this hoodie!!

Nintendo’s next generation console named “Wii” has been the hottest mpst anticipated game system this year. It’s unique controller design basically blows all competitors away. You almost can’t really compare it to Xbox 360 or PS3, they are not really on the same level, this is innovation, leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else. The controllers are motion sensitive and you can use it as anything from a virtual tennis racquet/baseball bat/golf club, to a magic wand, to a gun, to a sword, or even a symphony conductor’s stick! It’s amazing, totally freeing you from the traditional arrow keys and button layout.

It has caused such a stir at the E3 convention earlier this year, there was a 9 hour line of journalists and industry people to just get a glimpse of it! (lol of course we get to cut the line, velvet ropes up, VIP style, haha thanks Nintendo!) And since it’s such a hot item, I for once didn’t even bother bringing it up to our contacts at Nintendo to send us a review unit. Since it’s already sold out in pre-orders at pretty much every store across the country. Its MSRP is $249, but expected to fetch $500 even $1000 on ebay close to Christmas for the poor souls that couldn’t get their hands on one in time.

But as I walk into my office this afternoon (lol long night last night), there it was, a big box from Nintendo!! Suprise!! It’s a Wii with the Sports game pack, plus the new Zelda: Twilight Princess game and the Exite Truck game!! Oh my! My girl at Nintendo loves me more than my own mother!! lol.

My music/games editor of Kiwibox.com Josh gets to take it home this week and play with it and review it, and I’ll get it next week. The hottest part is it’s not even available in stores until Nov 19th!! We have it 5 days before it goes public!! How sweet is that!! haha I’m a dork, but I’m gonna be the coolest kid on the block this Xmas!

Food Network is one of my addictions. A pretty decent cook myself, I love watching shows on the Food Network. My favorite person on Food Network has to be Rachel Ray, she is just sooo happy all the time!! lol I swear she’s like me on E! haha (and I don’t mean the TV network lol). She has these corny shows like “$40 A Day” where she has to find good cheap food in a new city for less than $40 a day. I just love her persona, very genuine, very down to earth. She even has her own day time talk show on real network now, it’s amazing! My least favrote person has to be Bobby Flay, he has to be the most cocky obnoxious person on Food Network, he thinks he’s the best, I mean when I heard he got picked to be one of the 3 original Iron Chef America on the show, I was like “Great, like he needs anymore ego boosting!”. I mean I’ve seen episodes where the man literally corrects everything the judges said about his food implying that they don’t know what they are talking about!!

So when I heard that Iron Chef America is having an All Star Battle including Rachel and Bobby, imagine my excitement and nervuousness! I mean imagine if they put Rachel and Bobby on the same team!! I would’ve shoot myself cuz I wouldn’t be able to handle the psychological conflict lol. Good thing they paired Rachel up with Mario Batali (another pompous star chef, but much better manners than Flay in my book), and Bobby got Giada De Laurentiis (total hottie with the perfect flawless accent, star of Everyday Italian) as his partner.

The secret ingredient is “Cranberry”, both teams have 60 minutes to prepare 4 – 5 dishes based on that theme. After an hour of intense cooking, Team Bobby/Giada serves up cranberry/goat cheese French toast stack; butternut squash/cranberry ravioli; cranberry duck confit tamales; cranberry venison osso buco with a cranberry risotto; and cranberry zepoli with cranberry simple syrup. Team Rachel/Mario serves up pancetta wrapped, sage infused shrimp on a cranberry “polenta”; cranberry tempura cod cheeks on a salad of grapes and cranberries; cranberry sausage ragout on a wine soaked bucatini; cranberry turkey osso buco; cranberry panettone zuppa inglese. Final Score? – Bobby/Giada 46 points, Rachel/Mario 53 points. Team Rachel/Mario wins!! YEESSSS!!! HOTNESS!!

lol Bobby and Giada clearly hates Rachel, and Mario is probably shaking his head thinking he has to carry the wright of the whole team and wishes Rachel would just stop talking (she doesn’t lol), but who cares, in the end Good triumphs! That’ll teach Bobby Flay to be cocky in the future – you can’t even cook cranberry better than a cook with no formal training!! Hahah!!

Let’s take a break from all the Britney and K-Fed-Ex craziness and talk about something that’s actually important for real. All the celebrity break ups and make ups are fun and harmless to our own lives for the most part, but the Mid-term election yesterday could and is probably going to change our way of life.

This is an especially important election cuz the Democrats totally screwed it up last time around, leaving the White House, the Senate, AND the House completely controlled by Republicans, under the oh-so-great leadership of our oh-so-intelligent President. Well two years after the last election, not that the Democrats are doing such a good job, but basically GW and the rest of the Republicans screwed up so bad handling the war, that half the country are finally turning on them. After the election yesterday, Democrats now finally have control over the Senate. Granted it’s barely 51 seats to 49 seats (and that’s COUNTING 2 independent senators that said ok ok we’d rather caucus with the Democrats than the Republicans, cuz you guys need all the help you can get) lol. Bush calls this a “thumpin” lol, where does he come up with words like this? lol I’ll cut him some slack, just yesterday Donald Rumsfeld resigned after Bush flat refusing to fire him… So he’s having a really bad couple of days…

- Webb vs. Allen from Virginia, the race was so close, 7000 vote difference out of almost 2.5 million votes. And because of this narrow victory, the Democracts now control the Senate, if it was the other way around, there would be 50 Republican seats vs. 50 Democract plus Independent seats, and Vice President Chenney would have the tie-breaker vote, which would still give Republicans control of the senate. Wheeew, close one….

- Hilary Clinton wins New York, no suprise, go Hilary go! Setting the stage for her bid for the Presidency in 2008 no doubt… I would like to see a woman president FINALLY, but it would be so much more fun to see Bill in the White House again, but this time chilling without a real job, lord knows what mischief he’s gonna get himself into… lol

- Joe Lieberman wins! Despite the fact his own party doesn’t even want him! He lost the primary earlier and decided to run as an independent ANYWAY against the man his own party picked. lol crazy thing is he actually won! Woohoo! It’s like being nicely told that he’s not on the guestlist for Marquee but he still shows up to crash the party anyway! haha. Good for him, and besides, who can resist the slogan “I’m sticking with Joe”?! lol

So Democracts, it’s HOT that you won the Senate back, now do some good and don’t fuck it up this time!!

Come on, you know this is too hot of a topic for me to cover in only one entry. In fact, since the divorce is bound to drag on for months, I’ll be DISH’ing about it for a while lol. I have two good stories, one about all the gossips floating around the internet speculating on his Pre-Nup with Britney, and the other one about how I took the bottle of vodka away from him last Friday at our club. lol

There are rumors that say Kevin is getting as much as $10 million from Britney, which I think is ridiculous. This is the second time Britney married (remember the 55 hour Vegas fiasco with her childhood friend Jason Alexander?), and the first time her manager and lawyers were so quick to get her out of that one, I’m SURE they all learned their lessons and made sure things are tight this time around. So basically K-Fed won’t be touching any of Britney’s millions that she made before they got married, and is suppose to get 50% of the money since they got married but Britney has been doing nothing but popping out babies in those 2 years so HA!! K-Fed will be getting something like $30,000 a month for half the time of the marriage (which is half of 2 years). And since Britney filed on Nov 6, exactly 2 years and 1 month after the marriage, there are some speculations that she did it exactly to be within the 30 day “grace period” of her Pre-Nup agreement so she doesn’t have to pay him any more than she has to. Oh, and Britney shut off K-Fed’s phone and cancelled his credit cards!! LMAO!

On a more personal note, last Friday when K-Fed was performing at one of our clubs Stereo, at the end of the night I had a really hilarious fight with him and his entourage of like 10 white and black wannabe rappers. The club started thinning out after he insisted on performing, despite the fact everyone came wanting to see Britney (she didn’t show). At the end of the night he and his boys were sitting at their table looking really lonely and broke without any more free alcohol supplied by the club, so out of my drunken bad judgement (and my best friend Amy nagging me to hook her up with some fitted cap guy dancing at K-Fed’s table), I grabbed one of my bottles of vodka and brought it over to give to K-Fed for his table. I was chilling next to JC (from Nsync) who was too busy getting busy with some hot girl, 10 minutes later one of K-Fed’s entourage came up to me and told me to leave the table! I was like “Are you kidding?” – granted I was very drunk and I might have said more than that lol, he started talking mad shit back to me. So I reached over and grabbed my bottle back from K-Fed’s hand (he was all confused at this point), I was like “$&%# you, and you, and all your wannabe entourage!” and I walked out. In fact, I walked out of the club with the bottle and came home with it!! Haha, see the exact bottle right here as I write about it at this very moment!! lol I was a drunken mess but it sure felt good bitching out K-Fed, I’ll never forget the confused look he had on his face!! Priceless!! lol

So this has to be like the biggest news in Pop and Entertainment this year – Britney Spears is finally a FREE WOMAN!! Well at least she’s on her way to be soon. The pop diva filed for divorce earlier today from her loser rapper-wannabe husband! Hurray!! It’s about time!! I think the entire world rejoiced at the news, and all the gossip columnist and tabloid writers are all creaming in their pants now to find the juiciest material and detail tidbits that everyone wants to read about. Since I misplaced Brit Brit’s number from when we knew each other back in the day, I couldn’t reach her directly for a comment lol, BUT here’s what we know so far…

- K Fed apparently fucked up big time and had a huge fight last Friday with Brit about his partying after she flew into New York. He didn’t show up to dinner with her, and she got pissed and in return didn’t show up to his show at Stereo (which totally fucked up my plans since that was OUR party and I totally told all my people that Britney was gonna be there cuz she WAS scheduled to show)

- Britney did not show at K Fed’s concert the next day (Saturday) at Webster Hall, where only about 70 people showed up total to see K Fed’s master lyrical skills.

- Monday afternoon Britney suprised David Letterman at the taping and showed up in a little black dress looking SMOKING HOT! No word was mentioned about the marriage.

- Apparently on Monday (yesterday) night, Britney text messaged K Fed to break the news to him that she’s filing for divorce.

- Today the news was made public, the papers are filed, but technically it’s dated Nov 6 as the filing date for the divorce.

- After the news broke, Britney and Larry Rudolph (her power house ex-manager who she filed a few years ago and who apparently is back working together again) were seen skating at Rockefeller Center rink. A publicity move I’m sure, but she looks so damn good!! Doesn’t she?!

Brit Brit is FREE!!! And that’s HOTT!!

Borat for those of you who live under a rock (or live in the middle of America but don’t get HBO or MTV) is a character made up by actor Sacha Baron Cohen – star of HBO’s hit comedy “Da Ali G Show”. Borat is s reporter for Kazakstan, and in this movie, he travels to the U.S. to film a documentary, and meets real people and in the process offends just about every race and everyone he meets. lol the film is hilarious, and in New York it opened to sold out theatres all weekend long!! It’s insane. I think it did like almost $30 million over the first weekend, ridiculous right? Here are two trailers, check them out and go see the movie if you are not easily offended. Last night we hosted a party at Stereo for Kevin Federline and Britney Spears. Well Brit Brit actually never showed for some reason, but K-Fed was in full force, performing songs from his album, nobody can even shut him up lol. I even got into a fight with his crew and bitched him out at the end of the night but that’s another story lol.

So the liquor sponsor for this whole event was Van Gogh vodka. And it just so happens that the executives from Van Gogh vodka was sitting at the table right next to our table. So one thing led to another, we were soon all drinking and dancing on top of couches together. They brought out like 4 different flavors of vodka, and the best is the Double Espresso version. it’s basically caffeine infused vodka , tastes like a chocolate martini straight from the bottle!! We were having it straight on the rocks all night. Wheew, that was some good stuff!! lol which might explain why I wasn’t shy about yelling at K-Fed later in the night. Van Gogh Double Espresso is definitely my fave flavored vodka now, HOTT!!

It’s always tough to come up with something original for Halloween. I’ve been Batman, Ernie (of Burt and Ernie), a bottle of Corona, Pimp, Mafia Gansta, Pirate… This year we took it up another notch. Here’s my Halloween recap – on Saturday me and my limbs (these 3 girls who are my closest friends that I can’t live without like my arms and legs) decided to all dress up as Wizard of Oz characters. The girls decided on slutty (I mean sexy) versions of the Tin man, Lion, and Scarecrow, so I’m left to dress as Dorothy. lol with a little makeup and some faux lashes, I have to say I don’t look that bad as a girl haha. Then on Tuesday the actual Halloween night, I dressed up as Flavor Flav, except the chain on the clock broke half way through the night and the Gold and Diamond grillz won’t stay in place, lol, you can see some of the pictures in the Popdish Gallery I just set up…

Anyway, then my friend brought me a page that she ripped out of the US Weekly Nov 2005, and there’s a picture of Jason Biggs dressed up as Dorothy!! hahaha oh boy, then I remembered seeing him at Justin Timberlake’s Halloween party last year at Marquee. I mean I totally didn’t know it was him cuz it was dark and he had a skirt on!! haha. Now all of a sudden my costume seems like a rip-off of his idea last year. I mean we even have the same basket with the same stuffed Toto! No matter, I think I still look a little hotter as a girl than him, take that Mr. American Pie!! hmm… wait, maybe that’s not a good thing… lol
