Gnarls Barkley is the brainchild born out of the collaboration between southern Gospel/Soul singer Cee-Lo, and super Dj/record producer Danger Mouse. Their first single “Crazy” off the album “St Elsewhere” was a huge hit. We even hosted their record release party at Stereo and Cee-Lo performed as my many retarded friends tried to climb up to dance on stage with him lol. The second single has the hottest video ever!! They have these computer-rendered flees and bugs that looks just like the band, and they run around the house shouting “Daddy’s Gone” lol. The song is really catchy. I’m a bit of an Informercial Junkie… I come home from the clubs, I turn on TV, and daze and marvel at all the crazy inventions they have on all the informercials late night. My favorite is the Rotissarie - you SET IT AND FORGET IT!! haha you know what I’m talking about, don’t pretend! I’ve bought everything from the Foreman Grill to the 5 Star Knife set. The latest is the GT Express 101 (very odd name, sounds like some freshmen required course at college lol), it’s basically like a Foreman Grill, but has two half-moon shaped cooking/baking wells instead of the grill surface - Oh the possibilities!! haha First they dropped the price to $19.95 per payment, then they knock out one full payment, so it’s only 2 Easy Payments of $19.95, then they offered a 2nd one for FREE if I call within the next 15 minutes!! hahaha, I know all the sales pitch gimmicks. At that point, I couldn’t AFFORD NOT TO GET IT!! LoL! So I gave one to my best friend Amy, and the first thing we made on it is this receipe called “Stuffed Soup”!! You take a can of chicken corn chowder and pour it over stuffing and basically baked it in the GT Express 101 for like 5 minutes. Let me tell you, it’s AMAZING!! Mmmm… It’s on my hot list! Now I just have to try out the 100 other receipes that came with it… Looks I’ll be having a lot of carbs, watch out!!

Nick Carter the blonde one that all the little girls liked from Backstreet Boys has a new reality tv show with his brother and sisters. Aaron is the younger brother, once a hot little pop star on Jive Records, appealing to all the pre-teens and tweens, like a Lil Bowwow without the attitude and braids. There was a big scandel how his mom who was managing him mishandled all his money so he sued and got divorced from his parents. In this “reality” show apparently all the Carter kids now hates mom and dad and all live together at Nick’s house. The show’s awful, between Aaron trying to deal with puberty and pretending to be gansta, and Nick trying to pretend he’s old and wise in the music industry (I mean come on, you were a Backstreet Boy, not a Beatle!), and the 2 blonde sisters with no apparent talent trying to figure out why they are on the show… Angel is the only ok one to watch, she’s at least normal, and cute, and has a sense of humor. But in the end, this is a NOT HOT show, so pleeeease E! cancel the show and make room for more episodes of the Girls Next Door! lol

Jo Jo made a huge splash when she released her debut album at the tender age of 14. Two amazing thing about that is one she’s so young, and two she’s a little white girl that sounds like a black woman singing jazz ballads down in New Orleans! I remember one time when I was with her and her producer, she was just a little kid but acting very mature, but then every once in a while she would say something profound that no 14 year old can fake. I was really intrigued so I said to her “Jo Jo, you are soulful when people least expect it.” She paused for a second, looked at me and said “So are you, you are soulful when YOU allow yourself.” lol it was interesting, having a 14 year old understands me at such a deep level. While she was already very mature back then, her new album is another huge step. The single is doing very well. Her label finally sent me the album, and I finally got the chance to listen to everything, it’s AMAZING! Someone told me about one of the ballads on the album called “How To Touch A Girl“, at first I didn’t pay attention to the lyrics, but when I sat down just now to listen to it again, I’m speechless… singing my life, and killing me softly. When people can relate their lives to your song, then you’ve done your job. Sometimes I think I’ve done everything I can and done everything perfect, but how do I really know if that was enough, and I didn’t let something amazing slip away… amazing album, go buy it, watch the live performance on AOL music here…

I watched I Am Sam saturday afternoon on TV, and I was like totally ball’in like a little girl. It was sooo sad. No wonder it won so many Oscars. Sean Penn plays this guy that’s mentally challenged and raised his daughter all by himself, then the Children Services wanted to take the kid away and put her in a foster family, so he has to go through sooo much to fight the court to try to get his daughter back. It was soooo emotionally moving. Michelle Pfeifer who plays his attorney seemingly came from such different places in life but in the end they both helped and learned so much from each other. Vulnerability is beautiful, and this is an AMAZING movie - just don’t watch it in one sitting, take breaks, if it wasn’t for commercials on TV I think I might have used up all the tissues in the house.

Macy’s is probably the most famous department store in America. The flagship store in Herald Square is only a few blocks away from my apartment, and I’ve been to Macy’s maybe ummm… 3 times total! lol so needless to say, when I went there on Saturday there was a lot of discoveries and adventures. The most impressive part is the 4th floor if you enter from the 6th Ave side - it’s a mecca of trendy hip vintage looking shirts and dresses and jeans, from punk rock to paris hilton, with DJ pumping hot club tracks over the speakers! It’s amazing. Oh and shoes! Hot stillettos, fake Manolo boots straight from Steve Madden (like Jay-Z said), lol but they look great! At this point I’m already so impressed I’m saying to myself “Why go to Stereo or Marquee, I could be throwing parties at Macy’s 4th floor!” lol, and then, around the corner, I discovered something that’s 10 times more exciting! FOOOOD!! There’s a Ben and Jerry’s, Auntie Anne’s Pretzel, and Jimmy’s Pizza Kitchen, right next to racks of rhinestone studded jeans and cute Juicy tracksuits! Mmmm, yummm! I couldn’t resist, so I had to have some ice cream right then and there, and make the 4th floor of Macy’s part of my Hot List this week.

It’s the first time 2 things from one show are making my Hot List in the same week. But Tim Gunn from Project Runway, the fashion mentor/host/judge aka the old guy on the show other than Heidi Klum or Michael Kors (btw, doesn’t Michael Kors look like Will Farrow? ok ok enough sidetrack, country road country road lol). So anyway, Tim Gunn has been driving around in this hot little read roadster on the show all season, and it’s the Saturn Sky Roadster (Red Line turbo edition I believe). Saturn probably paid the show a crap load of money for him to drive it around, but honestly it is such a sweeeet car!! 0-60 in 5.5 seconds! And look how hot it looks! The regular Sky starts around $25,000, and the Sky Red Line Turbo starts just under $29,000!! I always wanted a roadster - it’s so impractical, but there’s definitely something very poetic and EXTREMELY HOT about only having 2 seats for you and your ride-or-die-bitch lol, yes, I’m playing Jay-Z’s Bonnie and Clyde in my head right now. So you want this car too now? Well too bad, the Saturn Sky comes in very limited availability in 06, and I don’t think the Sky Red Line Turbo is even available at all til 07!! I checked the inventory of all the New York area dealerships, nope, nada! So good luck finding one! Unavailable Cars, like Unavailable Women, are even hotter I suppose…

Project Runway season 3 comes to an end and the winner is… Jeffrey! The eccentric-foul-mouthed-punk-rock-misfit that almost got kicked off the show many many times. There’s always some contraversy with him, being accused of cheating and outsourcing his sewing, going over the budget, fighting with the pregnant woman on the show… But when it comes down to it, his final collect kicks ass!! It’s inspired by Japanese demon and ghost stories, and look how stunning one of the dress is! His main model throughout the whole show Marilinda is just the best ever! Partly because she’s gorgeous on and off the runway, and partly because SHE WAS MY OLD DOOR-GIRL AT MY CLUBS!!! haha! She’s awesome, really funny, a little bit punky, always jokingly giving me a hard time with all the girls I’m bringing into the clubs. Earlier in the season she would text me and everyone to watch her on the show every week. I’m sooo happy for her that they won! Woohoo!

So in the first season of the reality tv show Flavor of Love on VH1, it came down to 2 girls that Flavor Flav, the crazy eccentric rapper from the old school group Public Enemy had to pick between as his girl - one of them was New York, the crazy scheming loud-mouth girl that had a spit-fight with another girl on the show, and the other one was some hot girl that we really don’t care what her name is. Naturally Flav picked the hot one, and naturally that didn’t work out. So Flav is having a new season, starting with 20 girls to pick from, and the CRAZIEST stunt that happened is that New York is back on the show this season!! I gotta hand it to the people at VH1 for coming up with this idea, it did wonders for the rating! New York is loud and obnoxious, the one you love to hate, and that makes for GREAT TV. So again, she made it to the final elimination, thinking and scheming all the way that Flav brought her back because he regret not picking her last season, and guess what?! She got dumped AGAIN in the final elimination!! I mean it’s kinda sad that this poor woman’s life has been totally screwed over for the sake of TV ratings, but let it be my guilty pleasure that I actually semi-enjoyed the last episode. Since Diddy’s new album “Press Play” is in stores this Tuesday, I figure I’ll give him a little plug, for old times’ sake lol. But in all honesty, the second single off the album HOT!! It is a collaboration with Christina Aguilera. The TRACK IS HOT!! It’s gonna be all over the club for sure!
